After a long trip of about 22 hours, the team arrived at Sibiu, Romania. We left on Wednesday afternoon at 15.30 from Alphen (the Netherlands). There were no troubles at the border and everything went smoothly. Just one minor incident: the windshield of the van sustained a crack, which was beautifully fixed with a piece of tape.
At 15.00 local time, we arrived at the University Hospital and found the truck, which left a few days earlier, was ready to be off-loaded. With a lot of help, the off-loading was a piece of cake and within a couple of hours, all the stuff was stored in a storage room of the hospital. The rest of the day, we hooked up with our Romanian friends and both students who are doing a
physiotherapy placement at the moment.
The next day, we discovered all the tools were stolen from the storage room! Without these tools, it's impossible to carry out any planned work. The team succeeded to arrange some tools via a local contractor and started to carry out the charity projects with only half a day delay.
